Who Are We
We connect innovation with real energy needs.
Our mission is to support the energy transition by connecting providers of modern energy storage technologies with their potential users — businesses, local governments, and local communities.
We act as an independent advisory partner and expert center that, through technical, economic, and environmental analyses, helps select the most effective solutions tailored to the needs of end users.
We promote knowledge about energy storage technologies, create a platform for exchanging experience between the scientific, industrial, and public sectors, and support the development of energy awareness in society.
Objectivity and Expertise
Our recommendations are based on analyses, data, and independent expertise.
Cooperation
We connect suppliers, users, and experts, creating a network of partnerships for development.
Sustainable Development
We support technologies that reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency.
Innovation and Education
We propose new solutions and promote knowledge among businesses and communities.
Responsibility
We act in the long-term interest of the environment and society.
Meet Our Team
Paweł Witkowski - Co-Founder
I am an executive and entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience in building and managing companies operating in energy-intensive sectors, as well as in designing modern operational solutions for industry. My career developed alongside the economic transformation of Central and Eastern Europe, which allowed me to gain practical knowledge of how large organizations operate in a rapidly changing environment.
I managed LODIMEX, where I was responsible for the company’s transformation, the development of new logistics models, and the expansion of advanced cold storage infrastructure — one of the largest in the region. I later applied this experience as a co-founder of FFG and FFL, and as the founder of LCL and LODOM, developing projects for key food producers and retail chains such as Aldi, Netto, Asda, and Tesco. The intelligent eutectic energy management systems I implemented significantly improved operational efficiency and supply chain stability.
I have built extensive relationships across the food sector, which today support the GEST Institute in implementing energy storage technologies. I graduated from a mechanical and energy technical college and completed studies in computer science and cybernetics, which enables me to combine technical knowledge with managerial experience.
At GEST Advisory, I am responsible for organizational development, key industrial partnerships, and the practical implementation of energy technologies, supporting business transformation and the development of durable, sustainable operating models.
Zbigniew Sobieralski - Co-founder
I am a digital transformation and technology leader with over thirty years of experience in managing IT organizations, advisory projects, and operational programs for companies in the industrial, financial, retail, and pharmaceutical sectors. For many years, I have worked at the intersection of business and technology, designing solutions that improve the efficiency and scalability of international organizations.
I have worked within the global structures of IBM, Galderma, Pepco Group, and Qemetica. At Qemetica, I led the entire IT function on an international scale, creating a technology and operational strategy and reorganizing the IT department into a “Run / Change the Business” model supporting the organization’s dynamic growth. At Pepco, I was responsible for the strategic consolidation and optimization of the group’s IT services, while at Galderma I built a global Service Integration and Management model, known as SIAM, and technology governance in a regulated environment.
The longest stage of my career was connected with IBM, where I managed the largest outsourcing contracts in the banking sector and led a service organization of more than 350 people. I was responsible for system stability, infrastructure transformations, and projects critical to the operation of banks, for which I received the IBM European Quality Cup award.
I hold PMP, ITIL 4 Foundation, and SAFe 5 Agilist certifications. I also have an educational background in economics and information technology gained in Poland and Germany, as well as completed leadership programs at IBM Leadership Academy and London Business School.
At GEST Advisory, I am responsible for organizational development, technology architecture, and the implementation of innovative solutions in the field of energy storage, supporting businesses in building efficient and sustainable operating models.
Maciej Witkowski - Business analyst
I am an economist with a strong technical and energy profile, combining academic research in energy system design with practical experience in delivering complex operational projects across Europe. My work sits at the intersection of industrial practice and the energy transition, translating technically sound concepts into economically viable and scalable models.
My academic background focuses on techno-economic modeling of reversible Power-to-Gas / Power-to-Power systems, developed as vertically integrated solutions with wind power generation. This research has shaped my approach to energy storage: not as a standalone asset, but as a system-level lever providing stability, flexibility, and cost efficiency in real-world grids. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Master’s degree in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University of Berlin.
Beyond academia, I have led and supported international implementations within pan-European logistics for one of Europe’s largest cosmetics retail chains, participating in deployment-oriented projects that required disciplined execution, stakeholder coordination across multiple countries, and robust process design under operational constraints.
I currently also work in the fintech sector, focusing on banking regulations, where precision, governance, and compliance by design are essential. This experience strengthens the Institute’s ability to operate credibly in regulated environments and to design solutions that are not only innovative, but also feasible for enterprise-scale implementation.
At GEST Advisory, I contribute an analytically rigorous perspective to business analyses related to energy storage, market integration, and implementation feasibility, combining academic research, operational experience, and regulatory insight to help industrial partners implement technologies that improve resilience, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
